ESRA Support for students going to GOR26

The European Survey Research Association (ESRA) is pleased to announce the creation of the ESRA-General Online Research (GOR26) Student Support Award, designed to support student members of either of the two organizations attending GOR26 conference (GOR 26 | 26 – 27. February RH Cologne), as part of the ESRA support to GOR26.

Objective

This initiative provides an opportunity for two students to present their research, attend sessions, and participate in workshops, fostering academic exchange and building international networks.

An ESRA Selection Committee will evaluate the applications and select the two winners.

Award Benefits

Selected recipients of the ESRA-GOR26 Student Support Award will receive the following:

  • Conference fee waiver: The award covers the full conference registration fee for the respective event, including all sessions and panels.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Membership Status: Applicants must be student members of ESRA or DGOF.
  2. Student Status: Applicants must be currently enrolled as BA, MA, or PhD students at the time of application.
  3. Academic Merit: Selection will be based on the quality of the conference abstract submitted. The abstract should demonstrate academic rigor, innovative research, and relevance to the field of public opinion, survey research and research methodology.
  4. Residency in a Low-Resource Country: Preference will be given to students studying in countries with limited access to research resources, fostering greater inclusivity.

Application Guidelines:

To apply, eligible students must submit the following documents:

  • Proof of membership in the respective organization (ESRA or DGOF)
  • Proof of enrolment in a degree program (BA, MA, or PhD)
  • The abstract submitted to the conference describing the research they intend to present at the conference, outlining the key objectives, methodology, and expected contributions to the field.
  • A brief statement (max. 250 words) explaining how participation in the conference will contribute to their academic and professional development

  • Application, abstract and supporting documentation (proof of membership, student status, brief statement) shall be sent by email to conference@europeansurveyresearch.org with the subject ‘ESRA-GOR26 Student Support’
