ESRA Announces New Editor for Survey Research Methods

The European Survey Research Association (ESRA) is delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Vera Lomazzi will become the new editor of its journal Survey Research Methods (SRM). Vera will initially serve as co-editor alongside the long-standing editor, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kohler. She will subsequently assume full editorial responsibility for the journal.

Vera is an associate professor of Sociology at the Department of Management at the University of Bergamo, former president of ESRA, and current elected ESRA committee member. She is also the former Secretary of the Executive Committee of the European Values Study and a member of the OECD Global Technical Advisory Group on masculinities. Her research activity focuses on the comparative study of European values, attitudes toward gender roles and changing values in the work dimension. She is an expert in survey methodology and has a specific interest in the quality of instruments adopted by large cross-national survey programs and on the challenges for comparability. Her work has been published in relevant high-impact international scientific journals such as European Societies, Cross-Cultural Research, and Social Science Research. She has participated in and coordinated numerous national and international research projects on the topics of gender inequality, social and economic participation of youth, social research infrastructure.
