The European Survey Research Association (hereinafter referred to in brief as ESRA) operates in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and all other statutory data protection provisions.

The protection of your privacy when using our web pages is important to us. In what follows, we provide information about the collection of personal data in this context. Personal data are any data that can be related to you personally, for example, name and surname, address, email address, or user behavior.

Legal Basis of Data Processing

If we obtain the consent of the data subject to carry out personal data processing, the legal basis is Article 6, para. 1, lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When it is necessary to process personal data in order to fulfil a contract whose contractual party the data subject is, the legal basis is Article 6, para. 1, lit. b GDPR. This also applies to processing operations required in order to implement pre-contractual measures.

If processing is required in order to safeguard a legitimate interest of ESRA or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subject override the first-mentioned interest, the legal basis for processing is Article 6, para. 1, lit. f GDPR.

Your Rights as a User

You have the right, on request, to obtain access free of charge to the personal data stored about you (Article 15 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR) or erasure (Article 17, para. 1 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing (Article 21 GDPR). Transmission of Data
